FDK Cummins Diesel Genset Manual

This manual provides guidance for the installation, operation, and maintenance of FDK Co.’s Cummins diesel gensets. These gensets adopt Sino-American Cummins engines and American Marathon alternators, or alternatively British Stamford alternators or Sino-American Kaijielie alternators. 1. Types and Technical Parameters

1.2 Basic Parameters

2. Diesel Engine Performance Parameters

  • Engine Type: Cummins (including NTA, KTA19, KTA38, KTA50 series), 4-stroke direct injection diesel engine
  • In-letting Gas System: Wasted gas turbocharger with turbine presser for air inter-cooler
  • Structure:
    • Crankshaft: Alloy steel, whole-bearing, quenched axel-neck and circular angles
    • Cylinder Body: Alloy steel casting iron brake with wet cylinder hood
    • Piston: Alloy steel with crystal silicon, first ring insertion mill, and oil cooling
  • Lubricating System: Alternating current oil pump with optimized oil capacity
  • Cooling System: Internal gear centrifugal pump with circular mode water filter to prevent rust and remove impurities efficiently
  • Fuel System: PT fuel system with Cummins patented high-pressure injection technology
  • Filtering System: Dry air filter equipped with air resistance indicator
  • Starting System: 24V DC auto-motor with rapid starting capability
  • Cold Starting Performance: Minimum starting temperature below 7℃ without auxiliary equipment

3. Synchronous Alternator Technical Data

  • Form and Structure: Brushless magnetic exciter, 3-phase revolving rectification unit with overvoltage protection
  • Low electrical reactance to reduce harmonic fluctuation
  • Self-excited adjustment controller to regulate generator transmission capability
  • Stator winding covered with oxygen-insulated paint; rotor, magnetic driver, and PMG dipped with polyester clear paint for moisture, oil, acid resistance, and insulation
